This scholarship endowment is dedicated to supporting students enrolled in the aviation program who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to advancing their careers in the field of aviation. Preference is given to students from underserved populations who maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 and hold sophomore, junior, or senior standing. Applicants must be Texas residents and submit a reference letter as part of the application process. Additionally, students pursuing the Flight Operations track are required to hold a valid private pilot certificate, ensuring readiness and dedication to their specialized path.

Awarded to students pursuing a degree associated with Pre-Medicine who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and dedication to healthcare.

The ASU Distinguished Earn-In Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students who have not already received the ASU Distinguished Scholarship or the ASU Distinguished Transfer Scholarship. Current ASU undergraduate students who complete at least 30 credit hours at ASU in an academic year, maintain an ASU GPA of 3.0 or higher, and are pursuing their first bachelor’s degree will automatically receive the scholarship. No application is necessary to receive this scholarship. 

Distinguished Earn-In Scholarship Information 

The ASU Distinguished Graduate Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded to students accepted into ASU master’s and doctoral programs. Scholarships are automatically awarded based on the GPA from your highest earned degree. Scholarships are renewable. No application is necessary to receive this scholarship.

Awarded to students majoring in Music with a concentration in Piano, in recognition of their talent, dedication, and pursuit of artistic excellence in piano performance and musical studies.

Awarded to deserving junior or senior students majoring in Political Science or Philosophy, in recognition of their academic dedication and thoughtful engagement with the critical issues and ideas that shape society.

Awarded to students majoring in Chemistry or Biochemistry at Angelo State University, in support of their academic growth and pursuit of scientific excellence. The scholarship award amounts and frequency will be determined by the donor with recipients selected by the Chair of the Chemistry Department.

Awarded to students within the Department of Visual and Performing Arts with an area of interest in music, recognizing their passion, dedication, and commitment to excellence in musical studies.

Awarded to a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Business or a related field within the business discipline, in recognition of their commitment to advancing their knowledge and professional development in the world of business and leadership.

Awarded to a full-time student from Liberty or Montgomery Counties in Texas. If no eligible student meets this criterion, the scholarship will be awarded to a non-traditional full-time student, ensuring support is extended to those with unique educational journeys.

This scholarship recognizes an outstanding pre-dental student who maintains a minimum GPA of 3.25. The recipient is selected at the discretion of the Health Professional Advisory Committee. 

Awarded to deserving students pursuing an education in range management or sheep raising, this scholarship supports those dedicated to advancing their knowledge and skills in these vital agricultural fields.

Awarded to an active member of Alpha Phi Omega with a minimum GPA of 2.8, this scholarship recognizes students who exemplify the values of leadership, friendship, and service. Should Alpha Phi Omega cease to function as an active organization, the scholarship may alternatively be awarded to students affiliated with the Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, honoring a commitment to community and character development.

Awarded to incoming freshmen who reside in Tom Green, Coke, Runnels, Concho, Sterling, Glasscock, Reagan, Schleicher, McCullough, Menard, Mason, Sutton, Irion, Kimble, or Crockett counties, this scholarship supports students beginning their academic journey at Angelo State University and encourages educational advancement within these communities.

Awarded to members of the Angelo State Basketball Team, this endowment provides scholarship support to recognize athletic excellence, dedication, and contribution to the team’s success at ASU.

Awarded to student-athletes participating in men’s or women’s basketball, or men’s and women’s track at Angelo State University, this scholarship is awarded at the discretion of the Athletic Director. It recognizes athletic dedication, teamwork, and academic commitment.

This endowment provides multiple scholarships each semester, based on available funds and the level of student need, to help support their educational journey.

Awarded to a student enrolled at Angelo State University who hails from the Trans Pecos area, specifically the counties of Jeff Davis, Pecos, or Reeves. If no qualified recipient is available from these counties, preference will be given to a student from the broader Trans Pecos region, honoring the donor’s commitment to supporting local students.

Awarded to student-athletes participating in the Angelo State University Football program, this endowment provides scholarship support that may be applied toward tuition and fees during the fall, spring, or summer semesters. It recognizes athletic dedication, teamwork, and academic commitment within the football community.

Awarded to deserving students across all majors, this scholarship considers financial need as a factor and gives preference to Texas residents, though applicants from other locations are welcome. It recognizes academic promise, dedication, and the pursuit of higher education.

Awarded to full-time students in good academic standing at Angelo State University, the Greater Texas Foundation Removing Educational Boundaries Scholarship Endowment provides need-based support to economically disadvantaged and first-generation college students. This scholarship aims to break down barriers to higher education and empower students to achieve their academic and career goals.

Awarded to an upperclassman member of the ASU Football team who has made significant contributions on the field, maintains an excellent academic record, and actively participates in community service. This endowed scholarship supports first-generation students who are classified as sophomores and actively enrolled in the ROTC program at Angelo State University. The award aims to recognize and assist students who demonstrate dedication to both their academic pursuits and military training.

This endowed scholarship supports junior and senior students enrolled in the Aviation Program within the Norris-Vincent College of Business at Angelo State University. Eligible recipients must be U.S. citizens who have completed a minimum of 80 flight hours and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The award is intended to recognize and assist high-achieving aviation students as they progress toward their professional goals in the field of aviation.

This scholarship provides support for books and academic supplies to assist a junior or senior student majoring in English at Angelo State University. The award is intended to ease financial burdens and promote continued academic success for students who are advancing in their studies within the Natalie Zan Ryan Department of English and Modern Languages.

Awarded to a student enrolled in the Commercial Aviation Program who demonstrates commitment to pursuing a career in aviation.

This scholarship is primarily awarded to football student-athletes at Angelo State University to support their academic and athletic pursuits. Additionally, funds may be allocated to address the operational financial needs of the football program. The use of the scholarship and funds is managed at the discretion of the head football coach and the athletic director to best support the team and its athletes.

The student is to take a minimum of 12 hours and a maximum of 18 hours in the Bachelor Degree of Science of Nursing Program with a 3.0 GPA or better.

This scholarship is awarded to a deserving junior or senior fine arts student at Angelo State University who exemplifies strong character, academic dedication, and a commitment to personal growth. 

Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy. This scholarship supports individuals dedicated to promoting health, mobility, and quality of life through compassionate, evidence-based rehabilitative care.

Awarded to a student who plans to pursue a career in education, excluding athletic instruction. This scholarship supports future educators committed to making a meaningful impact through teaching in academic or artistic disciplines.

Awarded to a deserving student at ASU who is majoring in Pharmacy, Pre-Med or Nursing. The scholarship is to be used to help defray cost of scientific textbooks, needed class supplies, and lab fees.

This scholarship is open to students specializing in ceramics within the Visual and Performing Arts Department. This scholarship recognizes dedication to the ceramic arts, highlighting both creative exploration and craftsmanship in the medium of clay. 

The applicant must be a current junior or senior attending a high school located in Tom Green County, Texas, who has expressed a clear intention to major in education at a college or university. The student should demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to entering the teaching profession as a future career. This opportunity is intended to support aspiring educators who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the classroom and in the lives of their future students.

This scholarship is intended for residents of Mertzon who are currently attending or plan to attend Angelo State University.

This scholarship is available to full-time students in good academic standing who are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art or Music. Eligible students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be citizens or permanent legal residents of the United States. The award supports talented individuals dedicated to advancing their creative and artistic education.

This scholarship is awarded to a dedicated student who is an active member of the ASU football team. The recipient must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 and demonstrate a serious commitment to both academic and athletic responsibilities.

This scholarship supports students enrolled in the Nursing Program within the College of Health and Human Services. Preference is given to students from Sudan, Texas, or surrounding counties who demonstrate financial need. The annual award totals $5,000, with $2,500 disbursed each semester, providing meaningful assistance to those preparing for a career in compassionate, high-quality healthcare.

This scholarship is designated to support students within the College of Education. Priority consideration will be given to students majoring in teacher education and to those who demonstrate unmet financial need. The award aims to encourage and assist future educators as they pursue their academic and professional goals.

This scholarship is awarded to a student actively participating in the Air Force ROTC program. It is intended to support and recognize those preparing to serve as future leaders in the United States Air Force, demonstrating dedication, discipline, and a commitment to excellence in both academics and service.

This endowed scholarship supports students pursuing a graduate degree within either the College of Education or the Norris-Vincent College of Business. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate a strong commitment to academic and professional excellence in their chosen field of study.

This scholarship is awarded to a deserving junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in Agriculture. Once selected, the scholarship should continue to support the student each year until graduation, provided eligibility is maintained. The award aims to encourage academic persistence and success in the field of agriculture.

Funds from this endowment shall be used to assist deserving students, as determined by the Board of Regents. The support is intended to help students pursue their educational goals and contribute meaningfully to the university community.

Awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Teacher Education who have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Preference is given to junior or senior-level students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to the teaching profession. The award recognizes future educators who show promise in inspiring the next generation and making a meaningful impact in the classroom and beyond.

This scholarship supports students pursuing a degree in engineering at Angelo State University. It is intended to assist dedicated and aspiring engineers as they work toward academic and professional success in this dynamic and impactful field.

Candidates must be undergraduate juniors or seniors, or graduate students, currently enrolled in the University’s Accounting Program. Candidates must demonstrate high ethical standards as determined by the Accounting Department or an equivalent Scholarship Committee. The recipient should also exhibit strong academic performance and a sincere commitment to completing the requirements for a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Accounting, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting, or a Master of Professional Accountancy from ASU. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this scholarship.

The purpose of this scholarship is to benefit 1–2 students pursuing a degree in Visual Arts with a concentration in Ceramics and/or Painting within the Visual and Performing Arts Department. Each recipient will be awarded $1,250 for both the spring and fall semesters. The scholarship may be renewed for the same student as long as funds remain available. 

This endowment provides ongoing financial support for scholarships within both the ASU Baseball and Football programs. 

Awarded to junior or senior students who are actively engaged in the study of journalism. This scholarship supports aspiring journalists who demonstrate a commitment to ethical reporting, storytelling, and the pursuit of truth through media.

Scholarships are available through the Welch Foundation grant which provides students with the tools they need to gain and develop an interest in pursuing a career in chemistry.

Awarded to a full-time student who demonstrates financial need. Preference will be given to applicants who graduated from Lake View High School in San Angelo, Texas. This scholarship is intended to support students who are committed to their education and may benefit from additional financial assistance in pursuit of their academic goals.

Awarded to a student majoring in Physics and/or Geology. This scholarship recognizes individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing knowledge in their chosen field and applying scientific principles to address real-world challenges. 

Scholarships are available for students participating in ASU’s musical ensembles. The Wind Ensemble is a select ensemble comprised of outstanding students with exemplary musical talent from across the ASU campus. Students can find more information on the musical ensembles here.
